Peter Langer

Peter Langer, born in 1950 in Heidelberg, studied German literature, history and politics, and is now a lecturer in cultural history. From 1998 to 2010 he was the artistic director of the International Danube Festival in Ulm and Neu-Ulm, an event which he also initiated. In 2008 he was co-founder of the European Danube Academy and is member of its managerial board. In 2009 he was appointed General Coordinator of the Council of Danube Cities and Regions; since 2011 he has been the Danube Representative for the cities of Ulm and Neu-Ulm and an advisor to the Baden-Württemberg state governments on matters pertaining to the EU Strategy for the Danube Region.
