Dóra Drexler,PhD received her MSc in landscape planning at the Corvinus University of Budapest in 2004. She acquired her doctoral degree in 2010 at the Technical University of Munich, Department of Landscape Ecology (Weihenstephan). Previous to her current appointment as the Director of the Hungarian Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (ÖMKi) she has been working as a research associate of the Swiss Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL Switzerland). She has experiences in coordinating national research projects on organic farming (on-farm participatory research network) and takes part in several European research projects (FP7 and Horizon 2020). Currently she is involved in the Healthy Minor Cereals, the DIVERSIFOOD, and the OK-Net Arable projects which deal with various aspects of sustainable and resource efficient agriculture. Her personal field of interest is developing remote sensing and precision farming techniques for organic agriculture with a special focus on early diagnostics of diseases and pests. She is vice-president of the Technology and Innovation Platform of IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements), and a member of IFOAM’s Innovation Committee.
