Daniela Urschitz is working for Priority Area 10 of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region and as Coordinator of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region in Vienna since 2012.
After leading the Department of Women’s Affairs of the City of Vienna until 2008, she was head of the city’s EU Coordination Department .
Before joining the administration of the City of Vienna in 1999, she worked at the Austrian Federal Ministry for Labour and Social Affairs (from 1981 -1999), in the Department for International Affairs and Research, as Head of the Subdivision for Women and Labour Market (until 1992) and in the Ministers Office as Deputy Head of the Department for EU Integration (until 1998);
From 1975-1979 she studied at the Sorbonne University, Paris I, and worked and studied in Bulgaria (1978-1981).
