Sustainable food programme: Engagement with businesses and consumers has always been essential part of WWF’s work in order to achieve its mission to stop the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature. During the last years WWF Austria already worked successfully on sustainable fish consumption and production. Since 2013 topics like palm oil, sustainable diets and food waste have been addressed with several tools like scientific studies, scorecards and a petition – targeting businesses and consumers behaviors.
