Iva Taralezhkova is Chairperson of the Board of Citizen Participation Forum – a network of over 100 Bulgarian NGOs working for improved legal environment and effective citizen participation at local, national and international level.
She is an expert in networking, advocacy, citizen participation and good governance. A moderator of public forums, discussions and consultations throughout the country, she has a broad experience in mobilization of community energy for sustainable development and consensus building. She is also a trainer of NGOs and the public administration on issues and practices of citizen engagement in decision-making processes. Member of various public consultative bodies working for improved environment for citizen participation and dialogue.
She is also a founder and the Chair of the Board of the Devetaki Plateau Association – an organization working for the reviving, development and promotion of a small rural area turning it into a tourist destination.
